Goals from Faz Kuduzovic and Davin O'Neill saw Roy Keane's return home end in a 2-0 defeat to Cork City. The Blues should have been ahead in the first half but Cork keeper Dan Connor made fine saves from Connor Wickham and Jon Stead.

Town have named a provisional travelling squad of 17 players for their first pre-season friendly at Finn Harps on Tuesday 7th July. A list supplied to the Irish club includes midfielder Liam Trotter, who is still to put pen to paper on his new deal with the Blues.
